I saw some of the concept art today. I can't vouch for the script, but the look of the film is a big step up from Jimmy Neutron.
Not one person here saw this? I saw it today, and it was pretty good. Not amazing, but it was smart and funny.

I'm not sure anybody anywhere saw this... until I saw your post, I had forgotten this movie had even been released.
According to Box Office Mojo it has made $25,109,888 so far (domestically), on a budget of $50 million. Disappointing, since its better than, say, Ice Age 2, which made $200 million. But its no Monster House.
Problem was they saturated the market... Monster House, Ant Bully next week and Barnyard the following one. 3 CGI movies its all we had in a whole year before, and now we have them in just one month. That after already having Ice Age, Cars and Over the Hedge (and The Wild) the same summer... plus there are probably a few more before the end of the year (Flushed Away, Happy Feet, etc)...
also, ants have been played out. if i were a kid i'd be sick to my hairless ass of ants and other irrelevant insects.
if they want to do a cutting edge story about superorganisms they should do a story about DNA being dispersed throughout the universe and then trying to get back together.
that or something to do with kitlers, like a Maus adaptation.

What about Adam the Atom? Lost in an unfamiliar place, he must find his way back to his molecule.

That would be interesting, but its a pipe dream. Given that these movies are usually pretty expensive to make, we're unfortunately going to see more talking (animals, furniture, cleaning supplies) movies. I don't think there's been a frog movie yet. It is probably being made right now.
When I was six and super nintendo just came out I had this idea for a video game all from the ant's perspective, as they try to escape from the house. so you'd follow the ant through different rooms in the house, with giant human feet almost stepping on you, and all sorts of complications like that, culminating in the final level where you have to cross the dreaded street and reuinte with your ant family.
that would've been a cool super nintendo game.
here's the closest i know, buddy:
