If this has been posted already, lock the thread and redirect. I'm really not sure. But, in this interview with George Clooney, this bit of info stood out:
Q.) What's next for you?
A.)One of the things I'm passionate about is, for FX channel we're having 10 directors, each one doing a one-hour segment about a commandment from the Ten Commandments. We'll have great directors. Steven Soderbergh is going to do one. Neil LaBute is doing one. Gus Van Sant is also in. I'm going to do one. But I'm waiting to see which commandment is left.

plagiarism? how? Kieslowski was himself borrowing from a grand idea. His film is based on re-imagination. This project continues it.
