Title: Student photography class.
Post by: Dtm115300 on December 30, 2004, 03:16:57 AM
For my photography class i need to buy a 35mm manual camera. Does anyone have a good site. I looked on e-bay and i found a Minolta Maxxum 4 for around $100, but im not sure if this is the camera i need.

The only thing i know about this class is that it requires a Manual 35mm camera.

anyone know what i need?

My guess is you need a 35mm manual camera.

It seems like you're on the right track, but if you don't know, how should we know? Have you asked your professor for his recommendations?

A little more specific: look for an SLR manual camera.  I think most of the manual cameras are SLR, but make sure.  Look specifically for SLR.

This uses a mirror to show you exactly what you're getting through the lens at the viewfinder.  You can be much more precise with framing this way, which allows you to control more.  Bottom line: the more control you have, the better.

Pawn shops are littered with them.  And with digital photography...the prices have hit rock bottom.
