We at Coffee Films in the UK have just wrapped shooting on our new short How To Disappear Completely and are currently editing it for festival entries.
We have also opened a mini website to help promote and act as a kind of online press pack, and would appreciate any feedback or comments anyone may have; did you like the site? Did it load quickly? Did it give a good overview of the film? Does it need other stuff? Incidentally there are no clips online as yet but they will be added once editing has advanced some more.

I thought the site was really good. It has a complete history of your short film, and that's rare to find online. You've actually made it so people can become emotionally attached to the film without even seeing it yet. I'm interested in seeing it. PM me when you have it online so I can take a look.

Did you have to clear the film's title with Radiohead and/or their record company?
Nice site! Your whole two year curse sounds so familiar...it took me a year to get my own short off the ground, with just as many stops and starts. Be sure to let us know when you get some clips / trailer up.

You can't copyright a name... even a song name. This is why you see many movies with the same titles over the years.

So I could hypothetically title a film "Marilyn Monroe Blows Elvis" and not face any legal action?
The only thing you'd have to worry about with that name is a defamation suit, and even that's probably not likely.
But make a film called "Michael Jackson Blows Boys" and look out.

As explained above we didn't have to clear anything with Radiohead, the phrase is used in the film and is very relevant to part of it, the writer was intitially keen to use the song on the soundtrack but we've ended up using something else that fit the whole thing a lot better.
Our next short, "Michael Jackson Blows Boys" can be seen...
