So after spending close to a million hours editting, I was ready to export when 1/4 of the way through the export I recieve this...
"startpos >=0 & startPos<"
what the hell does this mean?
Premiere definitely has its share of bugs. Looks like you found one.
Problems like this are really common when using Pinnacle hardware. Are you using a Pinnacle capture board? Pinnacle gear sucks the goo out of a dead dog's ass. I've sworn off of them.
What I would try doing if a reboot doesn't solve it is to try to recompress and see if it crashes in the same spot again. If it does, then recapture that section of your project and splice the new capture in where the old one was. It might be a flaw in the AVI file causing Premiere to die.
Well, there is a solution... Buy a Mac and use FCP...
turns out hte problem is caused by the microsoft compressor that is the default compressor for windows XP, i just got rid of that and bada bing bada boom everything works again...
gotta hand it to microsoft...always ontop of things...
bunch of fuckos...
specially that Gates kid...
yes! please buy a mac! editing using final cut pro or even express or even imovie is 1000x better than using a shitty pc program! make the switch, buy apple!
ps
they're so pretty!!
You mac guys act like your shit don't stink.
Let me tell you... Macs have their share of crashes and bugs.
Having used both, I can say that it's all in what you're accustomed to. Both do the job, both have problems now and then.
Not dissin' a Mac, I'm just saying you can't be acting like they're the end-all-be-all.
I've been editing on Premier Pro for two months now and besides the retarded Pinnacle capture card which I will throw out soon, I've had minimal - no problems.

Isn't the title of this thread redundant?
