does anyone remember this movie or am i just dreaming this -- i have this fragmented idea of seeing a film about this when i was younger -- can anyone shed some light on this strange phenomenon.

I remember when it came out, 'cause I remember the TV ads played that song, but I never saw it. I remember it looking a lot like "Explorers" though.
