Title: Dead & Buried
Post by: analogzombie on January 02, 2004, 02:03:47 PM
Can i get some opinions on this movie. I keep reading how great and under-appreciated it is: 'a hidden gem of 80's horror'. But can anyone give a little review. Basically, I like cheesy and eeire horror movies, stuff like: "Amityville Horror', 'Day of the Dead', 'In the Mouth of Madness', etc... But I hated 'the Hills have Eyes' and 'Last House on the Left' (maybe I just don't like Wes Craven. Anyway, is it worth a blind buy?

This is a creepy film. My God, I'm really freaked out. I bought it on blu-ray a ways back and it had shivering with fright. Robert Englund is in it. It has some great special effects and make up work but some heavy loop holes. It doesn't matter though because the world and the characters are so specific to a certain time and place that it genuinely scares you. It transports you to a place where Stephen King might have conjured up.
