Somehow this statement doesn't surprise me. I mean one has to look in to the fact that you are a raving mad man!

Kid Rock represents everything that is wrong with the world.

He did a touching duet with Hank Williams Jr (http://www.vh1.com/artists/news/1451542/12182001/williams_jr_hank.jhtml), including the song "Country Boy Can Survive"... which was sung in a post-9/11 American Flag context.

The lyrics:

The preacher man says it's the end of time
And the Mississippi River she's a goin' dry
The interest is up and the Stock Markets down
And you only get mugged
If you go down town

I live back in the woods, you see
A woman and the kids, and the dogs and me
I got a shotgun rifle and a 4-wheel drive
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

I can plow a field all day long
I can catch catfish from dusk till dawn
We make our own whiskey and our own smoke too
Ain't too many things these ole boys can't do
We grow good ole tomatoes and homemade wine
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

Because you can't starve us out
And you cant makes us run
Cause one-of- 'em old boys raisin ole shotgun
And we say grace and we say Ma'am
And if you ain't into that we don't give a damn

We came from the West Virginia coalmines
And the Rocky Mountains and the and the western skies
And we can skin a buck; we can run a trot line
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

I had a good friend in New York City
He never called me by my name, just hillbilly
My grandpa taught me how to live off the land
And his taught him to be a businessman
He used to send me pictures of the Broadway nights
And I'd send him some homemade wine

But he was killed by a man with a switchblade knife
For 43 dollars my friend lost his life
Id love to spit some beechnut in that dudes eyes
And shoot him with my old 45
Cause a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

Cause you can't starve us out and you can't make us run
Cause one-of- 'em old boys raisin ole shotgun
And we say grace and we say Ma'am
And if you ain't into that we don't give a damn

We're from North California and south Alabam
And little towns all around this land
And we can skin a buck; we can run a crop line
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

Kid Rock is a master of taking other people's ideas and making them seem like they're his own (brilliant?) ideas.

I never said he's a brilliant song writter, i said he's one of the most talented musicians!

Take a look for yourself.

Kid Rock can play every instrument, whether it be the guitar, drums, bass, turn table, etc.

He's THE most successful WHITE RAPPER (devil Without a cause has outsold Eminem's most sucessful album "The Mashall Mather's LP" by 2 million. DWOC = 12 million MMLP= 10 Million)

Other than Rap he's proven that he can conquer country music(picture, Only god knows why, lonely road of faith), Rock (I am the bullgod, Cowboy) , Blues (I got one for ya), etc, name any type of music, and hte guy has done it.

Now how can you argue with that?

"Cowboy" is a guilty pleasure... otherwise he's just pretty annoying. However, that one commercial on VH1 for his Christmas specials with the little kid and shooting santa claus is pretty funny

it is for real...kid rock's like g love and special sauce.  he has some talent, and they both "do their thing" but they come off as total idiots.  it doesn't really matter if it's an act or not.  it lowers their integrity as serious musicians.

You do know that this song is very old, right?  Not at all a reaction to 9/11

Yeah, but it's the context. I was lucky enough to see a clip of this performance, and there was like a wall of flag in the background and Hank Jr was getting pissed off and the crowd was cheering at certain lines, etc. I think he even changed a few words.

Kid Rock contributed about 3 worthy songs. He is not talented and plays his instruments in concert just to show off. He is a very mediocre musician when it comes to talent.

Kid's fame is in the past and he has thrived on his trailer trash image. Kid Rock and his band are the circus freaks of bad music that filled a huge void in rock at the right time. May his popularity rest in peace.......

I'd rather suffer through a Clay Aiken and Rueben Studdard duo Christmas.

First off he does play his intruments in concert to show off, big deal. What the hell is wrong with that? Second off, I hate to bring this point up again however Kid Rock has outsold the likes of Eminem in Album sales. (Devil Without a Cause vs Marshall Mathers LP) so mediocore is the wrong term to use. Third, he does use the trailer trash image, would you rather he pretend to be something he is not? Fourth, name me another musician that is catagorized under Rock, Rap, AND country. Regaurdless, your argument is weak, you did not back up any of your points.

Regaurdless, nice try.

I meant his musical ability to play any instrument was mediocre.

These are just my opinions and am not debating this with you. I agree, he has a tremendous amount of record sales.

GDIDM, u can't deny Kid Rock's career is dead, and Eminem is still popular and has a very large ensemble of artists on his label and side projects which hav collectively brought him lots of dough in addition to what his own records bring in.

let's name some artists Kid Rock tried to endorse.. Uncle Cracker.

end of argument. pretending kid rock is still cool is like pretending garth brooks is.

too bad he is not even close to the most succesfful white rapper GD.  Eminem has put out three highly succesfull albums and kid rock had one flash in the pan.  Eminem is the second most succesfull white rapper behind the Beaties in album sales.  Plus Em is a highly succesfull producer as well.

How is Kid Rocks career dead? He just released a new album, and he's been everywhere lately, hell he even one BEST MALE POP ARTIST at the AMA's! Also, if you knew anything about kid rock, you'd know his album sales never take off immediately. I dunno about you but i constantly see his "Feel like making love" on heavy rotation on Vh1 and on MTV (although not as much.) I havent heard anything on Eminem in the longest time! (although obviously to state his monster career is dead would be retarded) Also, Eminem is smart signing all these artists, but Kid Rock never intended on becoming a producer. BTW Uncle Cracker's "Double Wide" album wasnt concedered a failure. Hell it sold a cool 5 mill!

Some of you guys really need to do some sort of research before you start spitting arugments that dont even make sense.

Banky although the Beastie have sold more albums. Kid Rock's Devil Without a Cause has sold more than any ONE white rapper album, whether it be the Beasties, Eminem, Bubba Sparxxx (i hate that guy)

Anyway, i hope you guys dont feel like im attacking. Im just defending my role model. lol

yeah u might be right, i was talking about exposure here and outside of america. i guess if u look at things like that (only in america) everything becomes fucked up. anyway, i believe u, he sold a lot of bullshit records, good for him. i havn't heard anything from him in years.

when i state he's the "most successful" white rapper i mean album sales, also if you didnt know. One of Eminems rolemodels growing up in Detriot was Kid Rock.

I would go as far as to state that kid rocks older shit from Early Morning Stone Pimp LP back in detriot is better rapping than anything i've ever heard from Eminem. If you dont believe me, go download the album. Definently check out Kid Rock's "Freestyle Rhymes"

Kid Rock is decent, and most of his songs do indeed, rock.  MOst of his old songs.  Since his songs are about himself, his money, his women, etc. it gets sort of repetitive (which is why I hate rap to begin with).  But his songs that aren't so much about his super cool life, really rock hard.  He'll always make reference to himself, but when he rambles about his coolness, it gets boring.  My suggested songs by him (that were good)

Bawitdaba
I Am The Bullgod
Fuck Off
Lonely Road of Faith
American Badass

those are the first that come to mind, anyway...

Yeah, but I'm the guy that has to put up with GDIDM blasting this shit every time we're in his car. lol

And being more successful than Eminem?? WTF? Eminem's gotta have sold more all together and had more top ten hits/singles.

Saying Kid Rock is more talented/successful than Eminem(or anyone for that matter) is just plain retarded. 99% of xixax members would agree.

you have to remember that record sales do not take into account for the larger customer base today as opposed to 30 or 40 years ago.

Just a few so called band's single albums that sold more than Kid Rock's DWAC:

Meatloaf
Hootie & The Blowfish
Backstreet Boys with 2 albums
Def Leppard
Bon Jovi
Boyz II Men
Titanic Soundtrack
