I've would've loved to see this one.
Ijust hope it happens.
I dont know if this has been discussed , but this is currently in production. A friend of mine is left for NYC last week to work as head painter for this movie...
Im really excited for him as he has been working really hard for a decade and just now he is starting to work on bigger projects (last thing he did was working on pre-prod on M night's new movie, the village)

aye.
Hey, looks like it is indeed happening, only with Turturro directing and the Coens only exec producing. Will Mandy Moore finally fulfill her dramatic potential?

Parker & Walken Crave Romance and Cigarettes
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Mary-Louise Parker and Christopher Walken have joined James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, Mandy Moore and Kate Winslet in the United Artists' musical comedy Romance and Cigarettes, written and to be directed by John Turturro.
The film follows a cheating blue-collar husband who is forced to choose between his sexy mistress and his put-upon wife. The film's producers say "Romance" is "punctuated by lip-synched performances of popular songs" by artists including Irving Berlin, Nick Cave, Connie Francis, Engelbert Humperdinck, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield and Bruce Springsteen.
The Hollywood Reporter says production begins this month in New York. GreeneStreet Films' John Penotti is producing, with Joel and Ethan Coen, Bruce Davey and Jana Edelbaum executive producing.
