What's a reasonable price for a digital camcorder that will do broadcast/cinema quality shooting in 16:9?

editing features on the camera don't really matter to me.

what equipment do you guys own/use?

Get yourself an XL-1s... about $4,000... it'll take care of most of your needs as a digital filmmaker.
