This Bill Simmons column is two-and-a-half years old, but I still re-read it occasionally, because it's hilarious and nearly timeless. If you've never read it, you're in for a treat PTA fans ...

Haha! Hilarious! Thanks for posting that! :)
Damn.. I wish I could find the humor in it.. but I'm not a sports guy so I have no idea who or what they are talking about.
I'm not a sports guy either. Haven't been for years. I just thought it was hilarious that this sports guy, this average joe, would love Boogie Nights enough to incorporate it into an analysis of basketball.

I know, I've got this stereotypical sports commentator in my head but he's calling PSH's homosexual desire for Dirk an amazing scene. I love it!
Quoteshould ring true for NBA fans: sex; drugs; insta-success; struggles adjusting to success; garish spending sprees; chemistry problems; cheesy gimmicks; more sex; more drugs; ludicrous characters; goofy nicknames; even more sex; sudden, sweeping failure; and subtle comedy galore.
This sounds like Xixax.com...

Finally, he did a piece on just his favorite DVDs of all time (sports and otherwise). Fun reading.
