Hmmm, well, Bob Newhart was one of the masters of the comedic one-sided telephone conversation.

But the only things I can think of right now are PSH's great two-sided phone conversations in Magnolia, and that fact that I just read that there's an 18-page telephone conversation in the script for Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown." :shock:
