In January an Indian remake of Reservoir Dogs/City on Fire was released. The title, Kaante, translates to "thorns." It was shot in LA with an American crew and is a pretty bad movie. The cinematography is overstylized, and the script gives back stories to all the characters as to why they entered crime. It also has songs shoehorned into it. I've read the bank heist was inspired by Heat. The credits do not indicate that this is a remake, and I doubt anyone bothered to get permission.
