Hmmmm... this deal is remarkably similar to the Beavis and Butthead DVDs.  As well it should be, since MTV owns Nick, right?

Well, whatever.  I'm done trying to recapture my youth through cartoons.  It's just never as good as you remember.  Now, re-living your childhood through old video games-- there's something worth-while...  :o

Yeah, but didn't the Beavis & Butthead DVDs have all the scenes in which they're watching MTV videos removed? Which was half the fun, of course....

i read somewhere that mtv and mike judge had nothing to do with those dvd's. And I think Mike Judge said that he is trying to put out a Beavis & Butthead DVD with tons of extras.

Wow, did they really?  That's insanely retarded.

This from a network called Music Television that had to make a whole new network to actually show music videos.  Yeah, sounds right up their alley...

The Ren and Stimpy DVD doesn't have any of the new episodes, does it?

The gay thing pissed me off.

FUNNY ANIMALS, HOT BITCHES AND ROCK & ROLL with Jack Black & John Kricfalusi?!?
Source: AICN

At a Q&A with John Kricfalusi in Seattle, he showed a new Ren and Stimpy episode called "Naked Beach Party" that was downright pornographic and delightfully disturbing. He also showed "The Ripping Friends," his Yogi Bear stuff, an old R+S episode that was heavily censored, and a short about two young boys who wake up with enormous "Pee Bonors".

The only upcoming maybe-possibly-hopefully thing he mentioned was going down to LA to talk to Jack Black about producing a feature called "Funny Animals, Hot Bitches, and Rock & Roll," which sounds like a really accurate summation of their overlapping fixations.

John K seems like a great guy who loves what he does and is amazingly unfazed by -- in fact seemingly unaware of how unreceptive the powers that be are to his type of stuff. Maybe he's just moved beyond all that. I dunno. There was a little talk about the massive number of cartoons today that were heavily influenced by R+S, but he said he doesn't watch any of it and doesn't know anything about it and that was pretty much that. He doesn't look at cartoons made after 1960.

He told a great story about getting invited to the Neverland ranch and showing MJ the "Pee Bonor" cartoon. He said it was a big hit.

i imagine MTV cut all the videos out of B&B because they would have had to pay royalties for each one......but you're right, that was a lot of the fun......when they watched Creep and Henry Rollins - LIar that was hilarious........too bad they faded out before N'Sync and the boy bands were popular (or at least i don't remember them making fun of them)........does anyone know why B&B was stopped to begin with?

what Nick needs to do is release Pete & Pete, Are You AFraid of the Dark?, and Salute Your Shorts.......i probably would buy all of those

Paramount has officially announced seasons one and two of the Ren and Stimpy Show. The demented cartoon that kick-started the animation craze, will be available to own from the 12th October this year. Retail will be set at around $39.98. The set will be available uncut for the very first time, and will include over thirty classic episodes, such as "Man's Best Friend", the rarely-seen "banned" episode, as well as "Stimpy's Invention", considered by many fans as one of the best Ren & Stimpy episodes of all time. Extras will include audio commentary from the original creators, a Ren & Stimpy: In The Beginning featurette, an image gallery and more.
