So I've just had six horrific weeks, filled with 14-hour work days, lots of travel, headaches, insomnia and a funeral.
I really wanted to zone out and see something mindless and fun tonight. Even though SNL movies often suck, I was leaning toward the "fun with child stars" in Dickie Roberts.
So I open the paper to get the showtimes, and what do I see?
"Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) -- 1:00, 3:45, 7:00, 9:45"
(cue James Earl Jones in "The Hunt for Red October" -- "MOTHER OF GOD!")
Raiders on the big screen!!!!!!! John Williams' score booming all around me!! Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes??!?!
I am so psyched and re-energized right now, and I haven't even seen the movie yet. This is so much better than the upcoming DVD, because it's on the big screen, and you just can't replicate that feeling (at least not with my, um, "home theatre system".) I saw this baby five times during the summer of 1981 when I was 10 years old, and now I'm gonna see it again.
Yeah baby!
haha.. good stuff, find your magali.
I would just about kill someone for that
Any volunteers?
