i want to talk about the band thin lizzy for a bit because i think they are under rated they are best remembered for their huge hit
" the boys are back in town" but they had a few other hit songs like jailbreak and dancing in the moonlight ( which the smashing pumpkins covered)
But they have so many other great stuff they were a band from irealand with a black lead singer but i thought they were from brooklyn when i was a kid because i loved " the boys are back in town"
and it sounded like a bunch of cool italians from bensonhurst
sample these lyrics
" That night over at Johnny's place
Well this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face
Man we just fell about the place
If that chick don't want to know, forget her
Friday night they'll be dressed to kill
Down at Dino's bar and grill
The drink will flow and blood will spill
If the boys want to fight, you'd better let them"
If that chick don't want to know, forget her god i LOVE and adore that line so mookish

expand on them...... lets share them with the world
their cover of Whiskey in the Jar has something that Metallica's lacks...a soul
That's something you can hear in every one of Thin Lizzy's songs. You can hear the fucking love they give
Spanish Guitar is my favorite song by them. A good piece that shows them crossing genres with a killer lead guitar part
thin lizzy is great, phil lynnot was the definition of the word cool and jailbreak is a masterpiece.

Me neither.
Phil Lynott was once asked what is was like to be black and Irish.
"Like a pint of Guinness" he replied.
An absolute genius and what an amazing band they were!
Great, great band. Vastly underrated, one of those bands where people know one song and think that's all they need. My fave is "The Rocker", short and to to point, with a hellacious riff.
Did anyone see the "reunion" late last year? Obviously no Phil, I didn't see the point, I may as well watch a cover band.
