How does someone deside what to write about? there is so much out there?
Heh, that's The silliest and most important question to ask, really: just think of something that pisses you off, and you have a story. I can remember Reiner saying somewhere to think of how you think about something and push it out through the character. This may make the character a puppet, though, so be wary of that, and remember not to make things too black and white. Think of opposite and different in-between POVs, too. I can't really answer this question for you. If you want to make films, you've got to know why it is, and you've gotta have some things that interest you enough to tell a story about them. Start there.

What about Hamburger? With that cheesy ass theme song "Hamburgers Across America".....
Go with whatever idea you feel the most confident with... as far as, "nobody has ever seen this" or "people will get a kick out of this". How do you want to make the audience feel? How do you think the audience will describe this movie to their friends?
If you don't have ANY clue how your audience will respond, you might need to develop the idea more, until you know what it is you want to accomplish.
To write a good movie, you have to have a voice and a point of view... what are you trying to say? If you don't know what you're trying to say, no one will give a shit about your movie. Figure out who you are and what you want to talk about. It sucks to make movies just to make movies. All of my scripts have a big part of me in them... i'm very cynical, philosophical, anti-big brother and media, and these things come out in my scripts somehow or another.
