Directed by Bob Balaban. Starring Randy Quaid. It seems to have a really good (or at least interesting) rep. I've never seen it.

Descriptions and impressions, please; and is it worth tracking down?

I like Balaban. A lot. I've never heard of it, but now I'm gonna check it out.

I saw part of it on TV when I was about twelve or so and I thought it was great. I was a huge Tales From The Crypt fan at the time and it had a similar sort of vibe.

Definitely worth tracking down, a classic dark comedy. Very twisted, very funny. It'll bcome one of your favorite movies that you foist on the unsuspecting uninitiated. I wish Balaban would direct more for the screen. Randy Quaid and Mary Beth Hurt are fantastic as the parents from Hell.

It was available on R1 DVD, though it may be difficult to find now. Unfortunately, it's also full screen, and the only extra is the trailer. But, better than nothing, I suppose.

i saw this movie when i was 8 years old -- it fucked my head -- nightmares for years -- im sure if iwatched it now it would be comical -- i dont think i can re-endure the psychological trauma it branded on my brain.

Did anyone remember the film where Randy Quaid played a nazi? I really can't remember the title....
