Titane is out on VOD, so now I have enough for a top 5. Just a list to have before prestige season. I'm sure this will change dramatically post LP, Dune, etc. – and we should create a separate thread later for proper end-of-year.
So here's mine.
1. The Green Knight
2. Inside
3. Kajillionaire
4. Titane
5. Shiva Baby
1. Pig
2. Shiva Baby
3. The Suicide Squad
4. No Sudden Move
5. Inside
6. The Velvet Underground
7. Stowaway
8. Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry
9. Cliff Walkers
10. Oxygen
The Green Knight
Undine
Old
The Card Counter
A Quiet Place: Part II
French Exit
Granted I haven't seen a ton of new stuff. Soon to likely shake it all up: LP obvi, Scary of Sixty First, Titane, Dune, French Dispatch, Velvet Underground, Last Night In Soho, Memoria, Nightmare Alley, West Side Story...
If we wanna throw in Docs/Series add these:
NYC Epicenters: 9/11 – 2021½
Pretend It's a City
Censor, Shiva Baby, and Violation, in no particular order. It should be noted that I'm a deadbeat who hasn't seen Green Knight yet.
So far;
1 - Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time
2 - Card Counter
3 - Can't Get You Out of My Head
4 - A Glitch in the Matrix
5 - The Green Knight
6 - Prisoners of the Ghostland
7 - Malcolm & Marie
8 - Judas and the Black Messiah
9 - Wrath of Man
10 - Dune
1. Bergman Island
2. Petite Maman
3. The Worst Person in the World
4. Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy
5. The Velvet Underground
6. The Suicide Squad
7. Old
8. The World To Come
9. Drive My Car
10. El Planeta
HONORABLE MENTION: Bad Trip. French Exit. Malcolm and Marie. The Card Counter. Inside.
STILL TO SEE: Dune. The French Dispatch. Cmon Cmon. Spencer. West Side Story. Licorice Pizza. Nightmare Alley. Parallel Mothers. Macbeth. Red Rocket. Memoria.
So hype to watch Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, Old, Card Counter, Titane, and The Velvet Underground.

I don't even care for M. Night and the third act clunks for resolution but Old is so fun. Refreshing to see a big studio release so formally audacious. Some shots and sequences in the movie were genuinely mindblowing to me. It's the perfect concept for M. Night's more "quirky" traits as a storyteller but the precise performances (especially Vicky and Eliza Scanlen) manage to find sincere emotion to ground it all. So good

I don't even know what to say about Old being on these lists, but I respect it.
In other news, I just realized I unironically (and quite brazenly) made a top 5 list to kick off a "top 10" thread. Do as I say, not as I do.

Imagine how WorldForgot feels about everyone putting Shiva Baby on their lists.
Happy for my friends, sad for the culture.
A daily vibe.
