Title: Film bro movies
Post by: Freddie Dodd on August 20, 2019, 08:35:24 PM
What do you people consider to be films bros love? You know how Twitter thinks Tarantino and Scorsese just make pictures for the fraternity, or how Paul Thomas Anderson, the patron saint of this forum, has a dedicated audience of dudebros that love Thomas Pynchon novels.

Easiest explanation would be things you see on college door room, the Fight Clubs and Pulp Fictions. Just look at IMDB and Reddit which people think of as film bro sites.

Thanks for the link. Looks about what I said, though the title seems to describe all kinds of assholes and not the frat boys that I'm referring to. People think film bros would complied a list like this one from reddit users.

Film bros think that being aware of the existence of Kubrick is the equivalent of cinephilia.

The Safdie Brothers are consider "film bro" filmmakers now?

Heard some tweets saying Good Time was for the Pulp Fiction/Whiplash crowd and Uncut Gems for the Drive/There Will be Blood/Shame crowd.
