Title: Vat is Art?
Post by: Nails9 on April 26, 2019, 04:06:14 AM
Mukakami quoted someone saying that art is the skill of measuring the distance between people.

Art can [should?] be a way for anybody to figure a deeper understanding of what it means to be human.

I agree that the creator of art is just a vessel sifting through the ether of overhead substance, ie: write what comes to you with no question.

Guess what im getting at is: Do you feel there's a responsibility of those who create art to challenge themselves for our benefit?

Should we the imbiber be asking for exposer to the unknown from people we trust?
Is it right to hope those we favor to face the unknown on our behalf?

asking for a friend,

ps/ where was it that someone linked Murkami's memoir?
