it's on netflix now. this is more like The Comedy than Gimme the Loot. i made it a thread because this movie could do fine here at xixax. it's a very anxious movie, and the villains are people's own personalities.
this was one of my favorites of the year, really a miracle of microbudget filmmaking. its owes something to desplechin, for sure - the irises are the biggest giveaway - but all that really means is that its an overstuffed, busy film, filled with ideas, and tonally kinda manic. that's my kinda movie! at nyff this year, k jones and desplechin loosely quoted truffaut (?) when he said 'I'm not Antonioni. I don't want one idea for every four minutes. I want four ideas for every one minute.' " and the mend kinda fits that mantra.

plus the music. those strings. music is always helpful.
this is from a different movie and i youtubed it now through a neural pathway that'd be like a fucking paragraph, point is (subtext) thanks for feeling me on this jg. i think for both of us it's the details of one's reality which trips us out.
