A 35mm print of Coonskin (1975) is playing at BAM (http://www.bam.org/film/2014/coonskin) on May 10, 2014. Q&A with Bakshi after the 7pm screening.

Ralph is coming to town to host three nights of movies and show material from his latest short film, Last Days of Coney Island (2015). The first night will be at the USC School of Cinematic Arts on March 26th where Fritz the Cat (1972) will screen. For tickets: http://cinema.usc.edu/events/event.cfm?id=14913

The second night will be at the American Cinematheque's Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. Heavy Traffic (1973) and American Pop (1980) will play - with a Q&A with Ralph between films   For Tickets: http://fandan.co/1C9aouu

The third night,  The Lord of the Rings (1978) and Wizards (1976) will play at the Aero - with another Q&A with Ralph in attendance. For Tickets: http://fandan.co/1LWFXYm

Original Bakshi Productions' animation art  - including prints, original cels and drawings from the films - will also be available in the lobby during all the screenings.

I wish somebody that is uber rich would just give this man money to make another animated film( hand drawn please and on 35mm with rotoscoping and all the tricks in the book! )

Coney Island is a special place, despite the fact that it is slowly getting its soul sucked out.

I once shot a little something in C.I, maybe this summer I will actually shoot something there again.

Is it me or does that girl in the photo i posted vaguely resemble Maya Deren?
