Title: Irish folk music

I love it, i just spent the last weekend working at a folk music festival ,as a sound engineer, and it was great.

Irish music rules. I'm not sure if they're "mainstream" in the genre, but the Furey, The Pogues, and Spirit of the West are phenomonal.

My brother is very involved in Irish music. He plays a lot of small shows in NYC, and won some big worldwide contest in Dublin a few years ago. I don't know much about it myself, but its great music (although trying to sleep while listening to him learn to play his homemade bagpipes was a bit trying).
