what is this, i have no idea. it's playing in los angeles soon. movies about people in places make me excited. it's not a los angeles set movie. its trailer makes me think of a connection between david holzman's diary and paris is burning:

have you seen it? feel like it's going to be my fav movie since the trent harris beaver trilogy, which also just played here.

the academy told me. a kind of funny thing about the academy is they're trying to target younger audiences, and they're kinda confused about how to program, and kinda frustrated when other la theaters want to use their prints

I've heard of Shirley Clarke, and have wanted to see this and 'The Cool World' for a while. Haven't got around to it. Truth is I don't watch a lot of movies anymore beyond the few new releases I see in theaters. Burned out a bit. Someday.
