I can't wait for this re-release, my local Arthouse theatre has a week's engagement of it! :)

I just got back from this. It was my first time seeing the film. It was an unbelievable experience. None of my friends wanted to spend 4 hours at the movies so I ended up going alone and it was better that way. It features a 20 minute introduction by Martin Scorcese which was cool. He discussed some pretty major scenes but it didn't matter. Nothing could ruin the actual journey of watching the thing.

I wasn't expecting such a conflicted character in Lawrence. I really had no idea what to expect other than that it was a classic and it was long. It was like the first time seeing 2001 or Barry Lyndon. Overtures, the two parts with the intermission, the score. It was so fucking epic. Really a great, great theater experience.

I hope some of you make it out to this, especially if you haven't seen it before. It really is worth it.

I believe young generations (and I include myself in them) underrate this awesome film and David Lean in general. When I saw it (on a small screen) I couldn't believe the audacity of every single aspect in the film. It's one of the very top films to watch on the biggest screen possible, perhaps the top film. I'm desperate to get a chance to watch it even in blu ray.
