^isnt there a Hillcoat Lawless too?
this movie finally looks halfway decent.
your thoughts, poz?
eh.
I'm starting to really like Tom Hardy now (despite the fact that he looks like this asshole that cuts my hair from time to time, but that's neither here nor there)... I really can't wait to see this incredible cast go at it. Could definitely do without Shia though.. But I'll give him a pass.
Apparently Annapurna pictures and the Weinsteins got all the best movies this year..
labeouf's newborn intentions are somewhat admirable, it's just a shame he kills it by blabbering off his lamouf far too often.
LaBeouf gave it a decent shot but he seemed like the weak link in the picture. Hardy was pretty good again, and I thought Guy Pearce looked like he was having fun with the role. I was disappointed that Gary Oldman was only in the picture for a few minutes. I got pretty excited before it came on though because the master trailer hit and it was my first time seeing in on the big screen, shame it wasn't 70mm..
I don't think this movie's failure is LaBeouf's fault. He was just fine in the movie. Nothing spectacular, but the only thing really bad about his performance was that you can't let go of the fact that it's him.
This movie is a collection of well-shot, decently written scenes that don't fit together into a whole film at all. There's something big missing from the movie and I don't know exactly what it is. I think if I were to watch it again, I might be able to pick up on it, but it's not worth watching again.
