Finally what appears to be a good horror remake.
Who's the director? Never heard of him.

The Thing (1982) is a good enough horror remake. KILL THIS NOISE!
No no no no no.

But you ruined it.
Fuck. That hasn't happened in awhile.
Dang it, I thought I deleted that post. I forgot that that X-Files episode was a ripoff of something and didn't realize it was this. Many X-Files episodes borrow from movies or are heavy homages to movies (like "Monday"), but this one is pretty blatant... and underlines some of the underlying weaknesses of the season. (Season 1 also had the worse X-Files episode ever made, "Space.")
Coincidentally, I'm actually watching "Monday" as I type this. I've been catching up on the whole series over the last couple months.
And the worst episode of the series is "The Field Where I Died". Nothing else even comes close.

Bwahahaha. By the way, you just lost The Game.
Now, Carpenter's Thing (lol!) is one of my favorite movies ever. This really upsets me. There's no possible way this is going to be as good as or even close to the '82 Thing.
What I would've like to have seen, and the first part of the trailer gave me hope that this might be the case but that was quickly shot down, is a prequel to the Carpenter Thing which would end right as the '82 film began, which woulda been great...but alas....

Hell no. It might not be to everyone's taste, but TFWID is a classic. This (http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/Fight_Club) is the worst X-Files episode. Period.

We can't be friends anymore.
This looks promising. The director is obviously a fan of the film making from the original. A lot of camera angles, set pieces and parts of the score ooze their way into this trailer. i'm excited :D I felt Moricone and Carpenter while watching it.
Great poster too.
This might be the best remake however:
