I thought they were pretty big - or at least alternative big (maybe moreso in the UK). They're very joyous. I presume you've come across this beautiful track?:

The lead singer, Eugene Hutz, plays the tour guide in Everything is Illuminated.

Yeah, these guys are pretty damned huge and have been for a few years now.

Are you saying that because of Filth and Wisdom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9nx6YW3qAI)?

ok, i got it. i guess i should have known these guys were "huge". rk made that clear in his own condescending way.

but what i really wanna know is if i should check out more of their music. are they REALLY good?! or was that performance just a fluke?

help me out xixaxers. don't make me drudge thru a bunch of stolen music to find the gems.

No, that performance is pretty representative - if you like that, you'll probably like them in general. In fact, the main downside of the band is that they're quite samey, so you probably only need to get one album, and that album should probably be Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike.

Re-reading, I can see how it can come off as condescending, but I was just replying to Children W/Angels.
I wasn't trying to be a dick.  I didn't discover the Beatles until I was 29.
