why is steve carell so terrible at choosing movies? he must get offered good ones. and fey! stop! don't! you're supposed to be one of the good guysssss
Ridiculously awesome.
that's a pretty solid cast though
This was sooo much fun and although it was quite a medicre script the actors really heightened it to an excellent level of absurdity. William Fitchner, Ray Liotta, Kristen Wigg, and Mark Ruffalo all make great cameos but the show stealer is James Franco. The key to this film not failing was the actors. They really went above and beyond what could have been a real piece of shit. This is a HEAVY RENTAL.
A couple months ago you reviewed Couple's Retreat. I liked the cast and thought it was maybe somekind of movie to watch with the gf. But you hated it so I decided to wait for a rental. It was the worst movie I've ever seen (honnestly, no hyperbole here, it was NOT funny at ALL. It was fucking stupid and lame.)
SO here is my point:
I was looking forward to your review of this because it had the same couple appeal but I was pretty scared since having been traumatized by Couple's Retreat.
Weirdly, even though it sounds really positive, I'll interpret your review as negative and wait for a rental.
Thanks for saving me another 30$.
