Does Angelina Jolie EVER make a good movie? She needs to take a cue from her boytoy and start working with interesting filmmakers. She's like an older ScarJo. Her talent is suspect, but she looks and acts mysterious so people eat it up.

Sick of her.

you didn't see changeling or mighty wind, right? she's absolutely talented, but she seems to enjoy doing junk as much if not more than legitimately good things. i hate when great actors have bad taste.. such a waste.

Yeah it's the kind of flick I'll probably drink myself to sleep to on a flight to Atlanta in a couple years.

Jolie in A Mighty Wind might be an interesting twist (I can see her singing "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow" as half of Mitch and Mickey).  A Mighty Heart, maybe?

I had two hours to kill in the middle of the day today, and I had the choice between this and "Predators", so I flipped a coin in my head and walked into this one, based mostly on Phillip Noyce having more cache in my mind that Nimrod Antal.  Short review: it was fun, it was dumb, I'm happy I saw it but I don't need to see it again.  Kurt Wimmer is one of the best bad writers working today, and this is probably the best of all his bad scripts.  Things happen, and even though they aren't the things that would make sense to happen at that moment, they're kind of cool things, so you just sort of shrug and let it slide.  It's sort of the Drunk History (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V_DsL1x1uY) version of a spy thriller.  Angelina Jolie is a legit movie star.  Chiwetel Ejiofor was great, as always, in the same role he always plays.  Poor Andre Braugher was around for five minutes and had maybe two lines.  Liev Schreiber was also involved.  A solid C+, with half a letter grade of extra credit for Angelina Jolie's lips.  If the Hays code was still in effect, movies would be banned for showing that mouth.

Yeah I haven't seen this but Noyce can cut them pretty badass so I'm definitely interested. Jolie is a very good actress when she wants to, and yes, I was going to mention A Mighty Heart and Changeling as two very real examples of just how great she can be.

how's about no more fight scenes where the actress steps off of a wall to punch a guy midair?  it's the dumbest move ever and nobody in the history of watching movies has ever been impressed.

Salt
Now, this is an action film. A great political thriller that almost had me howling with happiness. Impressed beyond belief. There are some sharp left turns that you won't see coming. Its kinda smart and I had no idea of where it was going to go. Well executed. Angelina Jolie reminds us why she is the queen on the action film. How she can really kick ass in a flick if she believes in the material. Manomanochevitz, Just as intense as you've always wanted a action film to be...
