DVDfile.com has confirmed that Ray's Apu Trilogy is coming to DVD October 28th!
Aparajito, Pather Panchali, and The World of Apu. All are presented in 4:3 full screen. The only extras are trailers and filmographies, and retail is $29.95 each.
Yes! The UK set had some pretty good extras, which makes this set a bit disappointing, but I'm glad these films are finally coming to DVD in R1. I hope the other 6 titles Columbia released on VHS make it to DVD.

They still have the picture from Aparajito on the Pather Panchali cover.
These films are must-sees for anyone who loves film.
The DVDs look great. I just hope Columbia did a good job and they look as sparkling as they can be.

Looks PAL to NTSC, with burnt in subtitles. The subtitles appear to be on the print for Aparajito. Get the UK Artificial Eye release if you can. At least those have some extras.
:x
So much for looking sparkling... I'm going to hold off on these for now.
