Did anyone else catch this movie? It stars Crispin Glover, David Paymer and Joe Piscopo. Strange cast and wonderfully off beat. I caught it on the sundance channel and couldnt look away.

Yeah, I watched it yesterday. Some great performances in there. That movie was pretty whacked. I enjoyed it. Crispin is the shit.

I saw it at a film festival in Cambridge. I thought it was really good. So did everyone else apparently: it rated as the second most popular movie of the festival after Spirited Away.

Some of the comedy in it was a little forced (maybe that was the point), but mostly it was fantastic. Really dark, really interesting. "I would prefer not to..." I find myself saying that now.
"Should I bring my own chains?"
"We always do..."

I can't wait to rent this.  I'm glad to hear the responses have been positive, by and large.

BTW, Melville's original novella, "Bartleby the Scrivener," is the 2nd best thing he ever wrote, IMO.
