ya, out of all the movie out there, what is the one that you like? i like the forest gump intro and the footloose intro.
"This is my week off, so pack up,
take the kids, and I'll see you in a week"

(kelvin)

I'd say "Vertigo" and "Psycho", those are pretty good. Both created by Saul Bass, aren't they?

Sigur Rós

texas chainsaw massacre

i also really love the intro of leaving las vegas, that its like 15 minutes before you get the opening credits

i must say the opening to minority report is pretty riveting-- saving private ryan as well.

Gotta go with Trainspotting (great song, great monologue, etc.), Amelie (you knew it was going to be an excellent movie from the very beginning) and both the prologue and one sequences in Magnolia.

because one can never get enough of first person perspective.

i'm fond of magnolia's opening sequence. really, I like any movie with more than seven minutes of prologue before the titles roll.
I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my
dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a
straight razor, and surviving.

Intros give me the chills,

especially

Magnolia

the opening sequence to requiem for a dream. i love how it just starts off right away with a bang. as darren aronofsky mentions on the commentary, you could never start off a hollywood movie like that.

8 1/2 is probably the best intro put to film.
Others I am fond of...

To Kill a Mocking Bird
A Hard Day's Night
Royal Tenenbaums
Brazil
La Dolce Vita
"Mime is money"

Magnolia
Goodfellas

The cab and smoke intro to Taxi Driver

Slow motion "dance" in the ring intro to Raging Bull
