Title: James Berardinelli & Reelviews

I don't know if anyone else here visits this site, but I have for a while now, and I find his reviews really fair and well-rounded....probably the reviewer whose opinion I trust the most.

Check out his Top 100 list.

I visit his site a lot, and while I like reading his reviews, I find him way too hard on certain movies, while for some movies that he's given four stars to, I wonder what he was smoking.  Basically, he's a decent critic, but no Roger Ebert (but who is?).

Something odd, perhaps a bit interesting.  Berardinelli has actually gotten himself a book of his reviews published, with a foreword by Ebert.  Well, well, well.  It comes out August 1st.

I first saw his top 100 list and disagreed with a good portion of it and thought some were bad movies. I didn't give an overall view until I read his review on Matrix: Reloaded and thought he wasn't anything special, imo.

What was it about his review of The Matrix Reloaded that made you think that?

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself and I usually do and should have, but since I can revert it back to another discussion, I will. This page is why I didn't like the film: http://xixax.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1597&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30
Then on this page shows my reasons for thinking it was operating in the wrong art form: http://xixax.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1597&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=195
The reviewer just acts mainly believing the entire thing of the movie and what most people on that thread believed too, but I just couldn't so I disagreed with him. Its fine, but what he was saying was being echoed by friends in my own life and on that thread. I could be wrong in summing him up entirely by just this, but time limits a better look.

Nice to see Before Sunrise in his top 100.
