losing passsion for film?

i didn't feel like searching so i don't know if there's already a post aabout this.  if so please redirect me.

i was talking to my friend who's studying film at columbia college in chicago and he was telling me he was losing his passion for film.  i was shocked that someone who was into film so much to go film school is losing his passion.  apparently, film school is getting him down.  i told him he should hang out with me more and that will being his love for film back.  does anyone here ever feel like film isn't so important in their lives?  as for me, i love film more than ever!  i eat film for breakfast, 35mm film taste better in the morning.  (lame)
