Just downloaded an episode of it from itunes 'cause it was free.  I was intrigued by the setting - in a post-Katrina new orleans.  I totally forgot that cop shows that are not The Wire are usually really stupid.  This one had nothing really interesting to say about new orleans except typical stuff like "people are leaving this city and other people are buying up the land", but it's super timid about where it stands and post Katrina lower 9th ward somehow becomes more generic and safer than most cities depicted on American cop shows.  It's a buddy cop show about a cop that grew up in da hood and a seemingly outsider who knows just a little bit too much about the city (guess their skin colors!) partners up with the veteran cop.  It's cool to see Anthony Anderson in a role he can really chew into, but that's about it, the action scenes are frequent and generic, the plot is like a Simpsons parody, and just about every aspect is super hackneyed.  there was a semi-inspired moment in the very beginning when the police chase was set to a jazz score, but then as the film went on, it was replaced by generic action movie music.
For a show that seemed to be all about New Orleans, just about everything in it was generic!  Boo.
