Back in April we heard that Bret Easton Ellis' novel was being adapted for HBO.

Anyone who has read the book can see why - it's full of salacious drama and murder, and threaded with 80s details that could only arise out of a native Angeleno who lived it. But if you've read it, a question also surfaces. How are they going to depict all this teen sex? Especially when some of it is explictly coupling of say, an 18yr old with someone in their late 40s. It seems to be the sort of material that would only go to air neutered.

Well El Independiente has published an article that may have leaked some industry details: Luca Guadagnino is in talks to be sole director on the project.

Let's hope this iz true! Having just seen Bones and All last week, I'd say Luca iz possibly the only modern director capable of adapting this novel faithfully.
