Rupert Neve, Grammy-Winning Architect of Modern Recorded Music

Rupert is the dude that designed and built the board that the Dirk Diggler version of "You've Got the Touch" and "Feel My Heat" were recorded through in the early 80s.  It has a storied history (as does it's designer).  Dave Grohl made a documentary about it (and the famous Valley recording studio where it lived and worked).

It was given to Dave Grohl by the owners because they knew he would continue to actually USE it, as opposed to the many that probably would have sold it piece by piece for thousands and thousands of dollars.
