Thåström, legendary swedish musician, just released a new album. Never listen to him before, but now I'm obsessed. Will it work for none Swedish-speakers? I think so!

Robyn

Carly only at four. Disappointing and embarrassing

Also; i listened to 60 hours of the filmcast this year

Some authentic 70s I just stumbled upon.  (I can picture Alana Kane in the front row at one of their concerts just lovin' it...)

There's a documentary about this band I'd love to see.

I've been Misty Pilled. Didn't listen to it for a long time because the name is awful and the way people talked about his music is insufferable (every time I hear the word "sincerity" too much, I try to run as a far away as possible); but he's just a guy with a great voice and wonderful tunes.

That one breaks my heart!

I recommend checking out his pre-FJM stuff too, when he was going by  J Tillman. Same great voice, totally different vibe. Some favorites: Crooked Roof, When I Light Your Darkened Door, Seven States Across, Three Sisters.

These two songs will forever be attached to some of the most emotional months of my life. It's tough for me to listen to ILYHB now, but it still feels special.

I can relate with "True Affection". I think FMJ is helluva a writer let alone a musician. I hope he didn't burn himself out after the other record though. I'd be a bit disappointed if the new album (next april 2022) isn't as good. But hey, I'm maybe a bit picky.

Fuckin' fantastic. I gotta listen to their three LPz now. That twangy guitar riff iz a dead-giveaway to the scene and era too, I dig it.

I've listened to Father John Misty from most recent to oldest, and now I'll listen to J Tillman from oldest to newest. That way, they'll join.

But I listened to the songs polka listed and have just finished this one on YouTube that I found lovely:

Oh, that's an underwhelming single. Without a strong melody, it sounds like a lukewarm pastiche. Maybe it fits the album—but I'd skip it in context anyway. Lovely video, though.
