It may be there comes a day when the prospect of a new Jeremy Saulnier film fails to excite me, but today is not that day.

Hope I find a way to see this in the theater. Am I the only one who gets disappointed when I see that a movie is a Netflix movie? That can't be good for their brand.

Same. "What went wrong with this movie that it ended up with Netflix?"

This is one of the most baffling movies I've seen in a while. Not even sure whether I like it. But I'm pretty certain it falls in the "worth seeing" category. So how can I put this? It's slow, mumbly, and very strange in gentle ways, with splashes of violence and a pinch of mysticism. Conventional storytelling is here but is constantly at odds with weird and unexplained turns. Do not expect to understand character motivations.

If you don't see the film, there is one sequence that is absolutely required viewing. Hop on Netflix and jump to 1 hour and 8 minutes.
