My hard drive is full, so I'm looking into buying a external hard drive. I'll be using it for storage for video. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Any Maxtor hard drive. They really are beautiful things.

do you want an internal or external drive?

realize...you can get what ya need for under $100...most of the time.

I need external. I have an eMac, so internal won't work for me.

I am currently using a 40 GB Promax for one of my classes.  Mid December I will be through with it...do you want to buy one used?

Thanks for the offer, but I think I need at least 80gb.

An interesting workaround that will end up costing you less, is to get a giant internal IDE drive (from online or a wharehouse type place like Fry's Electronics), then buy a Firewire enclosure for the drive... this will probably save you anywhere between $50-$150... just make sure the enclosure has the 911 chipset....

Go with Laci. They're good hard drives you can get through Apple.
