Speaking of old ladies in accidents, a few years back there was this incident in Dallas where this old woman was driving on the highway behind a garbage truck, and some piece of the garbage truck broke and went flying through her windshield, decapitating her. But her body didn't move, and so she kept driving and accelerating until she drove off the side of the road into a ditch.

This may be a tall tale, but whether or not it actually happened, it's damn funny.
