Would the Director's Labels be considered Documentaries with all the interviews and such on them?

No. They didn't have a theatrical release.

But they're ok for the DVD category, right?

Yep. And I'm guessing that each Directors DVD would be it's own separate ballot space. Confirmation on that, Jeremy?

So, just alphabetical order for the titles? So I can nominate actors in the order I want?
"We're gonna celebrate St. Suck-My-Big-Fat-Fucking-Sausage'a!!!"

SoNowThen

For the dvds, can we nominate box sets, or do we have to pick films individually?

eg. Three Colors, Antoine Doinel
Those who say that the totalitarian state of the Soviet Union was not "real" Marxism also cannot admit that one simple feature of Marxism makes totalitarianism necessary:  the rejection of civil society. Since civil society is the sphere of private activity, its abolition and replacement by political society means that nothing private remains. That is already the essence of totalitarianism; and the moralistic practice of the trendy Left, which regards everything as political and sometimes reveals its hostility to free speech, does nothing to contradict this implication.

When those who hated capital and consumption (and Jews) in the 20th century murdered some hundred million people, and the poster children for the struggle against international capitalism and America are now fanatical Islamic terrorists, this puts recent enthusiasts in an awkward position. Most of them are too dense and shameless to appreciate it, and far too many are taken in by the moralistic and paternalistic rhetoric of the Left.

Yes.

Films individually. To be really fair, we would have to have a different category for box sets.

Quote from: SpikeSo, just alphabetical order for the titles? So I can nominate actors in the order I want?
It doesn't really matter as much for the actors, but alphabetical by actor name would be nice.

SoNowThen

Can we then have a separate category for box sets, please? Because I think it's pretty stupid to nominate a film like White, taking it out of the context of the trilogy...

No, I think we have enough categories... and we really want each category to be strong. I mean, how many box sets are there compared to general DVDs in a given year, and how many people (besides MacGuffin) can buy enough box sets to have a good idea of what's the best?

Including box sets as a whole gives them an unfair advantage. Like, a Kubrick Collection or a trilogy would probably be better than a given individual movie.
