last night Sandi Tan curated Pola X at the Billy Wilder and i was there, it was glorious

in some ways Pola X says if you want to be a different kind of person you're fucked. which fits within Herman Melville's life experience (it's an adaptation) and Carax's as well. it'd worry me more if they weren't each different types of people themselves

It's the one I haven't seen yet, it's good, I guess, that some movies are still hard to find. (I could just buy the DVD on Amazon, I know.)

Arte aired a director's cut that is truly hard to find, though.

basically Annette is done but the plague is still active. the news here is Edgar Wright is premiering his Sparks documentary at Sundance, apparently he's finally chosen a title and it's The Sparks Brothers
