to tell you the truth, i was surprised he was even that high up.
O, why am I always behind...
Because you have hooks for hands.
It happens.
I definetely would of put PTA higher, around 13 or 14. But the list is pretty good. I can't argue with much of it. I'm just happy some good filmmakers are getting love (Almodovar).
Who was the top 5?

5. Terrance Malick
4. Steven Soderbergh
3. Coen Brothers
2. Martin Scorsese
1. David Lynch
I'm glad to see PTA on their, but I don't know where the hell they're coming from when they rated his work.
This is what they said:
There is something wonderfully fearless about 33-year-old Paul Thomas Anderson. His two best pictures (Boogie Nights and Magnolia) are works of gob-smacking ambition in one so young - lush, multi-layered ensemble pieces that spotlight the damaged souls of his native San Fernando Valley. But let's not forget the recent Punch-Drunk Love, starring Adam Sandler and Emily Watson. Smaller in scale but no less turbulent, this undervalued effort is like a nail bomb in the guise of a romantic comedy.
Substance 16

Intelligence 15????? Substance 16???? NO 18's or higher!?!
IDK.......whatever I guess.
i disagree with terrance -- his body of work does not merit #5
