[a jake Paul Instagram post now deleted for some reason, he might actually be wilder]

his Park South Freestyle music video directly imitates Lil Tracy/Lil Peep's Witchblades music video, aesthetically speaking, in terms of the boxed-in video format. he calls himself a content creator and i think he's basically hilarious, that isn't actually rapping. Lil Peep compared it all to becoming a wrestler, like become The Rock or Steve Austin, and he sure nailed that. Lil Peep didn't invent this lifestyle he helped perpetuate it. and here's such a vibrant example, switched from wrestling to boxing

i don't want to hear nobody have a hard time with this. mention your difficulties to your family during zoom Christmas

Justin Bieber, Snoop's New Group and More to Perform at Triller Fight Club's Jake Paul Bout

QuoteJustin Bieber, The Black Keys, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Diplo and Major Lazer will perform at Triller Network's upcoming Triller Fight Club boxing match broadcast, the company announced Wednesday, a month ahead of the April 17 event.

Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Too $hort and E-40's new hip-hop supergroup Mt. Westmore will also make its debut performance at the event — a four-hour, pay-per-view spectacle directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Bert Marcus that will culminate in a match between social media-star-turned-boxer Jake Paul and fighter Ben Askren.

"This event is more like making a tentpole movie than a boxing match," said Triller Network co-controlling shareholder Ryan Kavanaugh, who spearheads Fight Club. "By bringing in the creative genius Bert Marcus and pairing his unique story-telling vision with his unmatched shooting style, the Fight Club event is going shock and awe people. An all-star artist line-up with a boxing card that mixes pop culture phenoms, legends and rising stars; we are giving the world something that has never been seen or done before."

this is simply a pop culture narrative I've followed, as noted in the above posts^

the idea of Jake Paul as a celebrity boxer reaches its apotheosis tonight. this is when he introduces the concept of himself as a genuine boxer. he's boxing decade-older Ben Askren, most known not as an unmedalled olympian but as . these are the evening's headliners. this is Ben's first time boxing and there's copious evidence that it'll be his last, and that for him this is a matter of a paycheck and branding. seems as if he'll continue to be a sweetie-pie father-figure in Wisconsin, a valuable member of the community

their fight is being sponsored by Triller, which I learned about through this. it'll be PPV. Snoop Dogg will be a commentator, as he was when Jake ko'd the former-nba player before the Tyson exhibition. will be performing. Charli D'Amelio is dancing or something

naturally, the fight itself only interests me as a component of the pop culture narrative. this is hyper 2021. here is what is happening to us in 2021. the lower cards are on now and the main events begin in less than an hour. it's not that I think it's impossible for Askren to win it's that I don't think he's being paid a half-mil to win

In other words this has already peaked for me. It was momentarily a combination of Lil Peep and Donald Trump as an influencer boxer and that felt fascinating but the overall substance is lacking. Tonight it's Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul and that's bullshit obviously, RIP Pacquiao, RIP McGregor, hello Nonsense

jenkins

no sorry yeah I am paying attention to this for cheap thrills. Logan came out wearing a Pokemon card

this isn't the usual sporting event twitter atmosphere, it's pure internet stuff. I think timewise this thing is over by now and I'm not sure if anything happened
