I disagree with the people that say these kinds of threads are useless.

For instance, given the supposed demographic of xixax posters, we learn that people can just as easily be brainwashed by finicky art school hyperbole as they can be by corporate mass media.

hmmmm... i can't say it because i didn't watch all the movies ever made, but i can talk about movies i've watched:
and my vote goes to......
Seven Samurai
and the best filmmaker in my opinion (not forgetting i didn't watch all the movies of masters) is Akira Kurosawa the best of the filmmakers i ever watched
