on the old board a while back someone referred to some "guide to film making" book in the filmakers corner (Kevin Smith has mentioned the book before)

i meant to go back and write down the name of it, but i can't really do that now.  if anyone knows the name of this book, please let me know.

It even has Smith's quote: "Without Rick's book, Clerks would have been an idea that never made it past the page."
