okay, we need an appreciation thread for this, because i just saw the full trailer for the umpteenth time and its got to be one of the best teasers i've seen in a long time. the movie might suck, but my interest is piqued with the damn trailer. i didnt think the first one was anything special and the idea of a sequel was something i couldnt care less about. that is UNTIL is saw the trailer. and now, its one of the movies i want to see most this summer. now THATS good marketing. the use of "my charona" and editing of quick flashes of action, humor, and sex makes it seem like the most fun you'll have at the movies all summer. FIRST, it tells you hardly ANYTHING about the movie other than demi moore is a bad agent, which is all you need to know. and yet, it still has an enormous amount of energy and the cutting is really what its all about. i'm pretty sure mcg edited the trailer himself, which is good. we need more of this. although after seeing bernie mac play a scene on leno of this, i'm convinced the movie cannot possibly be as much fun as the trailer. is it possible to hold up that level of energy for 100 minutes?
Yeah, I had no interest in the sequel until seeing the trailer. Its pretty damn awesome, actually.
It's one of the best trailers ever, for sure. It's just so much eye candy, to the max, a million times over. What I've heard, however, is that the energy dissipates after the opening scene (which climaxes in the helicopter stunt shown in the first teaser).
I thinks it funny how whenever LL and CD are in really small tight out fits, DB is in something way more bulky and less revealing. This trio is getting a little old. If they make another one they should bring a new trio. Heres my pick
Alyssa Milano
Allison Hangigan
and possibly as feature debut Christina Aguilera?

I like your thinking... :)

Yo BankyEdwards
I like your novel concept for avatars; the mix of Christina Aguilera, a bare ass, and the word xixax.

Good. I like.
To return to the subject a little ... you like the line :
-I work for myself
-Well your boss sucks
? This has to be the cheesiest thing ever, non ?
no i think Canada is the cheesiest thing ever
Quote from: BoothTo return to the subject a little ... you like the line :

and that is exactly what i love it for.
Ok then :-)
can something be "conciously cheesy" or does it then fall into "campy" catagory? like, the actresses are aware that the movie has a very fun, tongue in cheek tone, so can something still be cheesy if it is meant to be so?
i think like you said, when you are not taking yourself seriously then its not really cheesy
Quote from: Pphil, why does ur av look like deniro!
Because it is De Niro!
McG is the worst name I have ever heard.... I know of porn directors with better names, so how does his direction stack up?
the chicas were ekzellent on conan.

Is it as cheesy as: "If you like pain, try wearing a corset" from Pirates Of The Caribbean?

hell yea. cameron was looking especially hot.
cant wait to see this shit. anyone already see it? if u didnt like it do me a personal favor- don't post on this thread.
I liked it. A lot. More than the first. Those girls, man.

its a little big doncha think? i was going to steal that from aicn too, but didnt know how to shrink it.
I liked it alright... didn't think it was as good as the first... very sequel-y in that it just took everything that people liked about the first and over did it.
Definatly enjoyable tho
The reason I saw this one was the reason I saw the first... Crispen Glover... he's hardly in it at all, but it's truly amazing.
Some of the jokes were just too cheezy... and the cartoon noises bugged me a little.
I would see it again though.
yeah to bad it bombed at the box office HHAHAHAHAH

Take Ravi with you next time and tell me if his expression is a perfect match.

Haha, it looks like he's talking on a cell phone, telling his freind how funny it is, laughing the whole way through.
Dude, that's not cool, I don't want to go with that guy.

I'm not that guy. I make it a point to turn my cell phone off when people are around me in the theater so they see me doing it.

ditto. i had a smile on my face for practically the entire movie. i thought it totally delivered on those previews. the action was totally totally over the top, and it was really funny. i thought it was better than the first one, and would go see another one, if it got made.
the crispin glover stuff, was WORTH THE PRICEE OF ADMISSION alone. RUN dont WALK to see this movie. it was goddamn hilarious.
i haven't had a chance to see it yet, but i want to. my mom and sister saw it on 4th of july and i got back home and they're both like, all three of them are so beautiful, i felt like a lesbian watching it! aren't fucked up families great?!
Quote from: bonanzatazaren't fucked up families great?!
how old's ur sister?

Absofuckinglutely. That man could probably rape my sisters on film and I'd somehow find a way to praise him.
SPOILER At the end, when him and Drew Barrymore are close to each other, smelling each other's hair, and it looks like they may end up together (I seriously thought that is what they were implying) I was shaking w/ excitement. It would have been the best development in the entire series. I love CHG...
aw
# 2 on my list of the worst films of the year. This wasn't a movie, it was a bunch of scenes from other movies strung together. I don't know why "The Matrix" movies are poster childs for mindless action; this one is. And Bernie Mac is the unfunniest 'comedian'.
What's your #1 worst? That list would be interesting to see.
